Maggie Cuneo

Maggie Cuneo began studying music at the age of 5. After specializing in cello in the studio of Elizabeth Benusis and 2 years of study at Interlochen Arts Camp, she began playing symphonic cello professionally at age 15. From there, Maggie earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Cello Performance at Minot State University under the instruction of Dr. Erik Anderson. In the next stage of her education, Maggie completed her Master of Music (Mmus) degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying under both Rudi de Groote and Robert Irvine. She has also been privileged to participate in lessons and masterclasses with Yehuda Hanani.

Professionally, Maggie has recently performed with such symphonies as the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra, Minot Symphony Orchestra, Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra, the Bismarck/Mandan Symphony Orchestra, the Edinburgh Contemporary Music Ensemble, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Symphony Orchestra, and the Tualatin Valley Symphony Orchestra. Alongside her symphonic work, Maggie loves playing chamber music as well as rock cello and guitar in the band Majula. She has been teaching music professionally for 7 years.
