Erin grew up in Juneau, Alaska, where she developed a love for music at a young age. By high school, she was taking voice lessons, performing in musicals, and participating in Regional and All State Honor Choirs. She attended Northern Arizona University for her Bachelor's in Vocal Performance, and got her Master's in Vocal Performance from Portland State University. She now takes lessons with renowned baritone, Richard Zeller.
As a classically trained singer, Erin's passion lies in singing opera. She performs in the Portland area with various groups including Opera on Tap Portland, Lark Opera, Ping and Woof Opera, and the Portland Summerfest Opera Chorus. She also sings as a paid soloist/section leader/sub for churches.
Erin has been teaching voice and piano lessons since 2013. She loves working with kids ages five and up and adults. Given her classical background, she focuses a lot on technique in vocal lessons, but she trains students to sing in many styles. She enjoys helping to cultivate a love for making music starting at any age.
